Day 01 Origin country / Istanbul
Flight to Istanbul and transfer to the hotel (Novotel Zeytinburnu or similar). Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 02 Istanbul
Breakfast at the hotel. Passage from the Golden Horn, the ancient port during the Byzantine and then Ottoman periods. Visit to the ancient Hippodrome, where chariot races took place; obelisks; of the Sultan Ahmet Mosque famous as the Blue Mosque, known for its 17th century majolica and the Topkapi Imperial Palace (The Harem section and the Church of Saint Irene are included), home of the Sultans for almost four centuries, whose architecture with the magnificent decorations and furnishings bear witness to the power and majesty of the Ottoman Empire. Lunch in a restaurant. Visit to the Church of Hagia Sophia, a masterpiece of Byzantine architecture; of the Basilica Cistern, built under the reign of Justinian I in 532, the most prosperous period of the Eastern Roman Empire and of the Grand Bazaar, the largest covered market in the world, characterized by a domed roof and formed by a maze of alleys and streets. Possibility to participate in the excursion (optional, for a fee) of the Bosphorus Cruise to admire both the Asian and European sides of the city and its most important palaces, mosques and fortresses. Transfer back to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 03 Istanbul / Ankara / Cappadocia
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Ankara, the capital of Türkiye, passing through the Euroasia Bridge, famous for its wonderful panorama. Arrival in Ankara and lunch in a restaurant. Visit to the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, also known as the Hittite Museum, where the finds are displayed in chronological order and the visitor can follow the evolution of the civilizations that followed one another in Anatolia from prehistory to the Roman period. Continue to Cappadocia with a stop at the Salt Lake. Transfer to the hotel (Hotel Perissia or similar). Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay. Possibility to enjoy the show (optional, for a fee) of the whirling dervishes.
Day 04 Cappadocia
[Possibility of taking part in a hot air balloon trip to admire the breathtaking lunar landscape of Cappadocia from above illuminated by the first light of dawn (optional, for a fee and based on seat availability. This trip can also be cancelled a few hours before the start due to adverse weather conditions)].
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the open-air museum of Goreme, the most spectacular and famous of the valleys of Cappadocia, dotted with rocky columns carved into the tuff which are called "fairy chimneys" because they give the valley a fairy-tale appearance; of the Devrent Valley, where time has eroded the rock forming peaks, cones and obelisks and of a local cooperative where it will be possible to discover all the secrets of the manufacturing of the famous Turkish carpets on display with the optional possibility of purchase and shipping. Lunch in a restaurant. Visit Ozkonak (or Saratli), one of the complex underground shelters known as “underground cities”; of the Citadel of Uchisar, located inside a cone of tuff rock and a laboratory for the processing of semiprecious stones, gold and silver. Transfer back to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay. Possibility to participate in the folkloristic evening (optional, for a fee) with a belly dancer.
Day 05 Cappadocia / Pamukkale
[Possibility to participate in the (optional, for a fee) Jeep Safari excursion, one of the best ways to enjoy the unique landscapes of Cappadocia, its valleys and incredible mix of rock formations and rolling hills. An itinerary full of suggestive stops to photograph the landscapes and the characteristic hot air balloons].
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure for Pamukkale through valleys and mountain ranges. Visit to the Sultanhani Caravanserai (13th century), now a museum. Lunch in a restaurant. Continue with a visit to the ancient Hierapolis which, destroyed by an earthquake and rebuilt in 17 AD, had its maximum splendor in the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD. Visit to Pamukkale, where visitors will be surprised to see on the slope of the hill and leaning against each other, dozens of enormous pools formed by the slow and millenary flow of limestone water. It seems that time has stopped and the waterfalls of a gigantic fountain are petrified as suggested by the name of the place Pamukkale which translated means "cotton fortress". Transfer to the hotel (Hotel Lycus River or similar). Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay. Possibility of swimming in the hotel's thermal pool.
Day 06 Pamukkale / Izmir
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Ephesus: the Temple of Hadrian, the Library of Celsius, the Great Theater and the Ephesus Experience Museum. Stop at a characteristic leather shop. Lunch in a restaurant. Visit to a local cooperative for the processing of hand-painted ceramics, known for their beauty and quality. Departure towards Izmir, the third largest city in the country, it is also considered the most beautiful after Istanbul. Transfer to the hotel (Hotel Kaya Prestige or similar). Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 07 Izmir / Pergamon / Istanbul
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Pergamum (the Acropol section is excluded) and the Aschlepion, located southwest of the city, was dedicated to the god of health: Aesculapius. Lunch in a restaurant. Passage from the Osmangazi Bridge, the fourth longest bridge in the world by length of its central span. Arrival at the hotel (Hotel Titanic Kartal or similar). Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 08 Istanbul / Origin country
Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the return flight to origin country.
