Hinge between West and East, the Turkish Republic extends from the eastern end of Thrace, and therefore of Europe, to the Anatolian peninsula which represents the western end of the Asian continent. The history of the country, which has always been a crossroads between the Middle East and Europe, has made the Turks extremely hospitable and open to travelers of all nationalities and religions. In Turkey, hospitality is sacred and retains the charm of ancient rites such as tea, which is offered to travelers in typical tulip-shaped glass glasses. A country rich in magic and mystery, capable of hypnotizing those who visit it, a bit like the whirling dance of the dervishes is able to do with those who observe it.
